Kara Newell is an associate at Moore, O'Brien & Foti. Kara graduated cum laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2022 where she received a concentration in Civil Advocacy and Dispute Resolution. Kara spent her years in law school as a member of the Society for Dispute Resolution and the Vice President of Public Relations of the Mock Trial Honors Society. During her involvement in Mock Trial Honors Society, Kara competed in the two national mock trial competitions: The Texas Young Lawyer's Association National Trial Competition (TYLA/NTC) and The American Association for Justice Student Advocacy Competition (AAJ/STAC). She advanced to the regional semifinals in both competitions. Kara graduated with the following awards: Outstanding Performance in Oral Advocacy and Service to the Law School.
Prior to law school, Kara graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in psychological sciences with a double concentration in research and neuroscience. During her time at the University of Connecticut, Kara served as a peer facilitator for the Violence Against Women Prevention Program (VAWPP).
In her free time, Kara enjoys staying active, theater, and spending time with her friends and family.
